I played pretend between the trees & fed my houseguests bark and leaves.

One of the blogs that I follow featured this great activity called "Where I'm From".  It's almost like a MadLib type format in the fact that there is a general template and you have to fill in portions of it with adjectives or nouns but they are more specific.  This template is to be filled in with childhood memories and random things about your past.  I fell in love with the idea and decided to do it...here it is:

Where I'm From

I am from a small town that happens to be the birthplace of Johnny Appleseed, from a random love for beets at a very young age and a pink canopy bed.

I am from the yellow ranch with blue shutters, a cozy cave like bedroom in the basement and squeaky wood floors that are loudest when you need them to be silent.

I am from red roses, black eyed susans, ornamental grasses and hostas.

I am from Kelly and Whalen, From wearing Grandmama's hand-made pins on Christmas Eve and a love for the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.

I am from the natural ability to cook a delicious and cozy meal and a family that knows how to push problems and stresses aside to be able to relax and enjoy each others company.

From when you lie a small black dot appears on your tongue and leaving carrots out for Santa's reindeer along with cookies and milk on Christmas Eve - the reindeer need something to eat too!

I am from Ireland and Whales, from Bubby's Rhubarb jam, Nanny's peanut butter fudge and Grandma's homemade frosting.

I am from "She has a nose!", unconditional love and smiling eyes.

I am from a camp on the water surrounded by the sound of loons, a big blue house on Phlox Lane, catching caterpillars and trying to keep them as pets, playing house, my little pony, learning how to balance a spoon on my nose and pretending I was The Little Mermaid when swimming in the pool.

I am blessed and incredibly lucky :)

So that's it -  It was a lot of fun to do...I lost track of the link to the template but once I can find it I will post it!

Lots of Love,
Meg
