DIY Projects - Personalized Coffee Mugs

I stumbled upon this adorable idea for personalized coffee mugs on a blog called A Beautiful Mess.  The mugs that they created were super cute, one said "he loves strong coffee" and the other said "she loves green tea".  I instantly fell in love with the idea since it seems really simple and results in something adorable and personalized, but I didn't have the chance to finally try it out until yesterday.  My friends Lauren & Andy got engaged recently and last night their families threw them an engagement party.  What a great opportunity to finally make these personalized His + Her coffee mugs!?  I chose the message "one lucky Mr" for his mug and "soon to be Mrs" for her mug.  I wish I had thought of that clever idea on my own, but I can't take the credit!!  I found the idea on Pinterest!!  Here's how it's done...

You will need:

Step One:  Clean the mug and dry it off thoroughly
Step Two:  Write on the mug with the sharpie
Step Three:  Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees
Step Four:  Once preheated, put the mugs into the oven and bake for 30 minutes
Step Five:  At the end of the 30 minutes, take them out of the oven and let them cool

**WARNING: These are hand wash only!!  If you put them into the dishwasher, the ink will come off**

I am really happy with how the mugs came out!!  I ended up wrapping them up and putting them into a cute little basket with a few other nifty gifts.  These are a really great gift idea for any occasion as they are customizable and everyone can make use of a coffee mug!!

Happy Crafting Folks!!

Lots of Love,
Meg
