Frugal Fridays - Homemade Sugar Scrub

Happy Frugal Friday!  This week, I decided to try out this homemade sugar scrub.  We all want to keep our skin in tip top condition and in doing that, exfoliating is key!  The great thing about this scrub is that it exfoliates and moisturizes.  The sugar does the exfoliating while the coconut oil does some serious moisturizing.  Needless to say, I am really glad that I found this idea on one of my new favorite blogs called New Nostalgia!!  This is one of my favorite Frugal Friday ideas so far...

You will need:
** A side note about coconut oil (which is the key ingredient) - There are a lot of different kinds of coconut oil ranging in price from $6 to $20 and up!  If you are only going to use coconut oil for things like this scrub or other "spa treatments" and are not planning on using it for cooking or ingesting it, than you don't need to go for the cold pressed organic coconut oil (that is the pricier one)**

Step One (The One and only step): Put everything into a jar and stir it up!

On another side note, I had to show off this adorable housewarming gift that I was able to use while making my coconut lime scrub.  My friend Ashlie had given this to me when I first moved in to my cozy little apartment and I fall in love with it over and over again each time that I use it.

So that's it!  You only need three ingredients, it will probably take you about 10 minutes to do and I guarantee you will love the way it makes your skin feel!  I keep it right next to the sink in the bathroom and exfoliate my hands every few days but you can also bring it in the shower.  BEWARE - If you use this in the shower, the bottom of your shower will get very slippery!  You will probably want to clean the bottom of your shower after you use it or simply warn the next person in line that it may be a bit slippery!

I've gotta say, this is another Frugal Friday Success!  Have a great weekend everyone :)

Lots of Love,
Meg
