Frugal Fridays - DIY Nail Polish

Good morning & Happy Friday!  For this week's Frugal Friday, I made my own nail polish!!  This idea has been popping up all over Pinterest and I have been meaning to try it out for quite some time.  I finally gave it a try this week and now that I have, I don't really see the need for buying nail polish ever again!  I'm not one to go and get my nails done very often but I do love picking up a different color polish from time to time and doing a little at home manicure.  Nail polish can range in cost from $2 - $9 depending on the brand but thanks to this project here, you can just purchase a bottle of clear nail polish & get a bunch of different colors from it.  Here's how I made my very own nail polish...

You will need:

Step One:  Pour a small amount of the eyeshadow into the paint pallet or container
Step Two:  Pour a small amount of the clear polish in with the shadow
Step Three:  Mix them together well - make sure there are no clumps of polish or you will end up with bumps on your nails!  Add more shadow or more polish as needed (there are no exact amounts here)
Step Four:  Paint your nails and admire at how simple this was!

Side Note:  This polish will have a matte finish so if you are looking for more of a glossy finish, just apply a nice clear top coat and you will be good to go!

Lots of Love,
Meg
